Seeding Intentions Support Peas
VANCOUVER - Apr 28/12 - SNS -- Field pea markets were mostly unchanged in light trading activity during the past week.
New crop markets found some support in a lower than expected seeding intentions for Canada. Farmers in that country plan to boost field pea area by 42%.
Though some traders attending this yearâs CICILS conference perceived it as a bearish number, it falls short of what markets were expecting and what is needed to meet demand in the coming year.
