France Cuts Pea Plantings
VANCOUVER - Apr 11/12 - SNS -- Field pea plantings in France are expected to reach 160,000 hectares this year, down 12.6% from last year but 1.2% above the previous five year average.
If yields are 1% above their recent average, production could be up 5.7% at almost 702,000 metric tons (MT), which would allow for a modest increase in both exports and domestic consumption rates.
