Firm Undertone in Birdseeds
VANCOUVER - Apr 6/12 - SNS -- Birdseed ingredient markets finished the week's trading with a firmer undertone against continued improvement in new crop trading levels for grains and oilseeds.
The effect was obvious in oil-type sunflower, which were pulled higher to remain competitive in this year's battle for acres.
Millet, confectionary sunflower, and canaryseed markets were nominally unchanged with grower selling closely matching the short term needs of the market.
