Few Changes in Birdseeds
VANCOUVER - Mar 3/12 - SNS -- Birdseed ingredient markets were little changed in light trade during the past week, with the lack of end user demand created a weaker tone in some products.
SunPrairie Grain's Kayla Burkhart says it is increasingly difficult for sunflower seed markets to follow soybean and other oilseeds because of poor demand." Sunflower prices were down another dime (on Friday)," she said.
"There is literally no demand to be found at current values, perhaps this late winter will help but it could be too late for a late season rally."
