Quiet Week For Birdseeds
VANCOUVER - Dec 9/11 - SNS -- Birdseed ingredient markets finished the week little changed in seasonally light trading interest.
Markets are starting to enter "holiday mode", with buyers in Europe, North America and Latin America becoming less keen about pursing business just before the Christmas and New Year's period.
The holiday season is already getting underway, with national holidays in some Latin American countries shutting down business the last half of the past week.
The holiday mood will be most strongly felt after the 20th of December, with most offices effectively closed between December 23 and January 3.
