Generally Firmer Finish in Birdseeds
VANCOUVER - Nov 11/11 - SNS -- Birdseed ingredient markets finished the week on a generally firmer note as grower selling slipped behind the short term needs of the market.
Processors are adopting a defensive pricing posture because of the reduced size of this year's sunflower and canaryseed harvests.
On the other hand, end users are not willing to chase the market because of worries weakness in the general economy will make pet owners more price conscious than usual.
