Mixed Finish For Birdseeds
VANCOUVER - Oct 14/11 - SNS -- North American birdseed ingredient markets finished the week's trading on a mixed note.
While canaryseed and white proso millet markets revealed an easier undertone, sunflower markets managed solid advances in sympathy with soybeans, corn and canola.
Interestingly, while sunflower output in Canada and the United States is down sharply from last year, it has increased elsewhere in the world. The resulting easing on export markets has moderated gains relative to other field crops in North America.
