Birdseeds Influenced by Outside Markets
VANCOUVER - Aug 5/11 - SNS -- Birdseed ingredient markets registered a mixed performance on the week against general weakness in stock and commodity markets.
Concern about the state of national economies in the European Union is widening. Moreover, the obvious need for the United States to slash hundreds of billions of dollars in government spending also had a negative effect on market psychology in some sectors of the economy.
Even so, better than expected job creation data for July allowed futures traded commodity markets to finish the week on an uptick.
