Mixed Finish For Birdseeds
VANCOUVER - May 27/11 - SNS -- Birdseed ingredient markets finished the week's trading on a mixed note, with Canadian markets easing as available supplies lifted above the short term needs of the market.
While white proso millet and confectionary sunflower were unchanged on the week, oil type sunflower advanced in sympathy with oilseeds and grains.
While markets doubt pulse growers will seed as much of those crops as intended, there is not as much concern in birdseed ingredients as these can be planted late.
