Birdseeds Post Mixed Finish
VANCOUVER - Feb 26/11 - SNS -- Birdseed ingredient markets posted a mixed finish on the week, though the general tone remained bullish on account of tight inventories of canaryseed, confectionary sunflower seed and white proso millet.
All of the weakness was in oil-type sunflower seed, which gets its price direction from canola and soybeans.
From an historical perspective, the U.S. based National Sunflower Association (NSA) says sunflower markets have likely peaked for the season.
