Mixed Finish in Birdseeds
VANCOUVER - Jan 29/11 - SNS -- Birdseed ingredient markets finished the week's trading on a somewhat mixed note, reflecting increased volatility in grain and oilseeds.
Grower bids for Canadian canaryseed finished the week unchanged, but average grower bids dropped as several companies reduced the prices they were willing to pay for farmers dressed product.
In the United States, bids for confectionary sunflower seed and white proso millet were firmer on the week, while oil-type sunflower markets moved in line with changes in soybean oil.
