Outside Markets Leave Birdseeds Mixed
VANCOUVER - Nov 13/10 - SNS -- Birdseed ingredient markets registered a mixed finish in relatively trading conditions during the past week.
Markets were generally firmer than last week, but ended weekly trading on a sour note against general weakness in grains and oilseeds.
Those markets were down sharply from week earlier levels on selling pressure from China after that country's government said it would raise interest rates to slow inflation.
