Outside Markets Support Birdseeds
VANCOUVER - Oct 15/10 - SNS -- Birdseed ingredient markets maintained their firm tone through the past week as markets worked to keep grower bids at competitive levels with other grains and oilseeds.
The impact was most clear in the United States, with white proso millet and sunflower bids escalating along with corn, soybeans, wheat and other grains.
One exception was Canadian canaryseed markets, which eased as offers from growers moved ahead of the short term needs of processors and exporters.
