Strong Finish in Birdseeds
VANCOUVER - Sep 24/10 - SNS -- North American birdseed ingredient markets finished the week's trading on a strong note against limited harvest progress in Canada's canaryseed crop.
Markets were also helped by underlying bullishness in oilseed markets, which helped lift oil-type sunflower values roughly 8% higher during the past week.
Canadian markets are also concerned that a portion of this year's canaryseed crop was not fully mature when killing frosts swept across the region the previous weekend.
