Indian Tenders Support Peas
VANCOUVER - Sep 19/10 - SNS -- International field pea markets found some support in ongoing tender activity from India's state trading companies and the slow pace of the Canadian harvest.
Field pea production in France could nearly double to almost 1.1 million MT in response to subsidies aimed at reducing the need to import protein for livestock feed.
The harvest started the week at 61% complete and yields averaging 1,817 pounds per harvested acre in Saskatchewan.
