Canadian Canaryseed Strengthens

VANCOUVER - Sep 11/10 - SNS -- North American birdseed ingredient markets managed a mixed finish in relatively light trade during the past week.

Canadian canaryseed markets were helped by fears a good part of the crop will suffer extreme yield loss on account of this year's wet conditions.

The crop is normally one of the last to be seeded or harvested, with the result there is more uncertainty about yield prospects than for earlier crops.
