Rain Frustrtate Canadian lentil Market

VANCOUVER - Aug 13/10 - SNS -- Rain continued to frustrate Canadian lentil growers and processors during the past week, with the latest rain events increasing the number of market participants who think yields will slip on the negative side of normal.

The net result was a general disinterest in trading new crop green lentils while business continues to be reported in new crop lentils

The situation is the opposite in the United States, where processors are optimistic about the yield potential of crops in North Dakota and Montana.
