Red Lentil Dealer Price Review in Canada

VANCOUVER - Aug 10/10 - STAT -- Canadian Red Lentil markets finished the 2009-10 marketing year with prices falling 8% below the recent three year average annual price on inter-dealer markets in that country.

The average trading level for Red Lentil was USD$36.65 per 100 pounds (cwt), compared to an average annual market value of $39.79 during the previous three year period for machine dressed merchandise packed in bags delivered to Montreal.

Analysis of the monthly price pattern reveals the highest monthly average was $44.25 per cwt in January, while the lowest monthly average trading level was $31.40 per cwt in May.
