No 1 Laird Lentil Grower Price Review in Canada

VANCOUVER - Aug 9/10 - STAT -- Canadian No 1 Laird Lentil markets finished the 2009-10 marketing year with prices offered to growers creeping 2% above the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.

The average price paid for No 1 Laird Lentil was CDN$33.68 per 100 pounds (cwt), compared to an average annual bid of $33.05 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.

Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $39.60 per cwt in August, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $28.80 per cwt in May.
