VANCOUVER - Aug 9/10 - STAT -- Canadian 9mm Kabuli Chickpea markets finished the 2009-10 marketing year with prices offered to growers falling 9% below the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for 9mm Kabuli Chickpea was CDN$641.50 per metric ton (MT), compared to an average annual bid of $704.22 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $665.68 per MT in July, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $562.22 per MT in May.
