Desi Chickpea Grower Price Review in Canada
VANCOUVER - Aug 9/10 - STAT -- Canadian Desi Chickpea markets finished the 2009-10 marketing year with prices offered to growers rising 2% above the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for Desi Chickpea was CDN$924.41 per metric ton (MT), compared to an average annual bid of $902.51 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $946.14 per MT in July, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $878.17 per MT in November.
