Birdseeds Advance With Other Grains
VANCOUVER - Aug 7/10 - SNS -- North American birdseed ingredient markets finished the week on a firmer note against a general improvement in values for major grains and oilseeds on account of the temporary Russian export ban.
This was most obvious in oil-type sunflower seed, which found support in stronger futures markets for soybeans and canola.
Canadian canaryseed is also benefitting from the resumption of movement into Mexico, letting markets refocus on this year's smaller than initially expected acreage.
