Romania's Oil-type Sunflower Exports Record Soft Month
PANAMA - Apr 20/22 - SNS -- Romania's exports of oil-type sunflowers during February posted massive declines, sinking compared to the previous month, according to data from Eurostat.
Total shipments for the month amounted to 27,003 metric tons (MT), down 73% from the previous month's total of 99,093. So far export sales have amounted to 126,096 MT, up from 93,723 in the same period the last calendar year.
Turkey was the top consumer for the month, taking 27,000 MT. Australia was the second most important consumer receiving 3 MT, followed by Norway at 0 MT.
