PANAMA - Mar 18/22 - SNS -- Mustard seed markets finished the week's trading on a mixed note, reflecting the shifting short term needs of processors and exporters relative to the willingness of farmers to sell.

There is underlying optimism sanctions against Russia will result in improved new crop demand from European Union destinations.

This prospect has added some urgency to new crop contracting programs and is helping sustain prices offered to farmers on production contracts at historically high levels.
