Canada's Yellow Pea Exports Extend Soft Tendency
PANAMA - Jan 6/22 - SNS -- At this point in the current marketing year continued their softer tone, with yellow pea export shipments for Canada fell sharply compared to the previous month in November, according to trade statistics from Statistics Canada.
Movement totalled 46,925 metric tons (MT) for the month, down 70% from the 158,279 MT shipped the previous month. Exports so far total 699,630 MT, versus 1,340,951 during the previous marketing year.
In the month, United States was the biggest buyer, receiving 39,236 MT. China was the second most important buyer receiving 5,419 MT, followed by Colombia at 823 MT.
