Spain's Confection Sunflower Imports Reveal Soft Month
PANAMA - Oct 15/21 - SNS -- At this point in this calendar year recorded a weaker performance, with confection sunflower imports for Spain plunged relative to the previous month in August, according to trade data from Eurostat.
Imports during the month totalled 5,957 metric tons (MT), down from 15,824 MT the prior month. This increased imports so far during the calendar year to 190,491, up 1% last year.
France was the largest shipper for the month, shipping 2,346 MT. China was the second most important supplier supplying 1,488 MT, followed by Argentina at 892 MT.
