Sunflower Seed Exports From China Record Slow Month

PANAMA - Aug 3/21 - SNS -- So far during the current calendar year posted a weaker performance, with sunflower seed export shipments from China were little changed, dropping compared to the previous month in April, judging from statistics from General Customs Administration of China
NOTE: Data for Jan and Feb 2020 is not available.

Shipments totalled 37,520 metric tons (MT) for the month, down 7% from the 40,277 MT exported the previous month. Export sales so far total 179,893 MT, compared to 129,619 during the previous calendar year.

Turkey was the top importer during the month, buying 11,954 MT. Iraq was the second most important consumer taking 4,472 MT, followed by Uzbekistan at 2,529 MT.
