Sunflower Seed Exports From Russia Record A Strong Result
PANAMA - Jun 2/21 - SNS -- Russia's shipments of sunflower seeds in March rose sharply, leaping compared to the previous month, judging from data from Federal Customs Service of Russia.
Exports during the month totalled 7,598 metric tons (MT), up from 3,066 MT the previous month. This increased shipments so far during the calendar year to 16,549, down 98% last year.
The top destination throughout the month was China, buying 4,814 MT. Belarus was the second most important buyer receiving 1,864 MT, followed by Kazakhstan at 413 MT.
