Birdseeds Mostly Hold Firm
PANAMA - Nov 6/20 - SNS -- Birdseed ingredient markets were mixed in relatively light trading activity during the past week, with prices offered to growers continuing to trend upward while inter-dealer and export markets were mixed, reflecting efforts to attract demand.
While average prices paid to white proso millet seed and confection sunflower growers have stabilized, average bids for oil-type sunflower and canaryseed advanced on the week.
Sunflower markets were helped by strength in canola and forecasts that global production will be down from last year.
