Sunflower Seed Imports By Turkey Manage Weak Month

PANAMA - May 12/20 - SNS -- Turkey's imports of sunflower seeds in March were slightly lower, falling compared to the previous month, judging from data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).

Imports reached 177,698 metric tons (MT) for the month, down 5% from the 187,528 MT shipped the previous month. Imports so far total 450,872 MT, versus 282,534 in the same period the previous calendar year.

Russia was the number one supplier for the month, selling 146,552 MT. China was the second most important supplier supplying 11,218 MT, followed by Other at 10,460 MT.
