Sunflower Seed Exports From China Sustain Solid Performance
PANAMA - Mar 18/20 - SNS -- So far during the current calendar year are maintaining a firmer performance, with sunflower seed export shipments for China showed modest gains, advancing compared to the previous month in December, judging from official trade data from General Customs Administration of China.
Export sales totalled 62,796 metric tons (MT) for the month, up 10% from the 56,957 MT shipped the previous month. Export sales so far total 481,534 MT, versus 465,539 in the same period the last calendar year.
Turkey was the most important consumer for the month, buying 18,916 MT. Vietnam was the second most important consumer taking 7,691 MT, followed by Iraq at 5,908 MT.
