Oil-type Sunflower Exports From Romania Record Weak Month

PANAMA - Feb 14/20 - SNS -- Movement of oil-type sunflowers for Romania posted massive declines, sinking versus the previous month in December, available data from Eurostat shows.

Export sales totalled 434 metric tons (MT) in the month, down 100% from the 239,030 MT exported the previous month. Shipments so far total 1,814,844 MT, versus 1,618,214 during the previous calendar year.

During the month, United States was the largest consumer, receiving 395 MT. Bosnia and Herzegovina was the second most important destination buying 26 MT, followed by Switzerland at 13 MT.
