Confection Sunflower Imports By Spain Record Weak Month

PANAMA - Dec 17/19 - SNS -- So far during the current calendar year recorded a weaker performance, with confection sunflower imports for Spain fell relative to the previous month in October, according to trade data from Eurostat.

Total imports in the month reached 24,607 metric tons (MT), down 34% from the previous month's total of 37,513. So far imports have totalled 211,833 MT, up from 209,218 in the same period the last calendar year.

France was the number one export origin, shipping 17,401 MT. Italy was the second most important shipper shipping 4,411 MT, followed by United States at 1,268 MT.
