Mustard Seed Exports From Canada Start With Strong Tone
PANAMA - Mar 27/19 - SNS -- Started the marketing year with a a stronger tendency, with mustard seed export shipments from Canada improved compared to the previous month in January, according to trade data from Statistics Canada.
Movement during the first month of the marketing year totalled 9,920 metric tons (MT), up 2% from 9,706 MT the previous month. The statistics revealed export sales is up 7% from the 54,848 MT recorded during the same month last year.
Since the start of the marketing year, loadings have been up relative to the last five year average. A total of 58,578 MT was shipped so far, up -3% from the average of 60,082 MT posted the prior five years.
