Oil-type Sunflower Imports From Portugal Maintain Soft Trend

PANAMA - Feb 22/19 - SNS -- Portugal's imports of oil-type sunflowers in December sank compared to the previous month, according to data from Eurostat.

Imports for the month reached 1,602 metric tons (MT), down from 20,646 MT the previous month. This increased imports so far during the calendar year to 231,101, down 5% last year.

Romania was the number one supplier during the month, supplying 1,396 MT. Spain was the second most important shipper supplying 167 MT, followed by Bulgaria at 25 MT.
