Bulgaria's Confection Sunflower Exports Reveal Weak Month
PANAMA - Feb 22/19 - SNS -- Export shipments of confection sunflowers from Bulgaria plunged compared to the previous month in December, the most recent data from Eurostat reveals.
Total shipments in the month amounted to 8,488 metric tons (MT) , down 78% from the previous month's total of 38,701. So far exports have amounted to 311,309 MT, up from 306,751 during the previous calendar year.
Recent trade statistics revealed China was number one consumer, receiving 2,243 MT in the month. United States was the second most important buyer taking 2,100 MT, followed by Afghanistan at 1,339 MT.
