American Confection Sunflower Seed Exports Maintain Weak Tone

PANAMA - Feb 6/19 - SNS -- American exports of confection sunflower seeds in November were well down, plunging compared to the previous month, judging from data from U.S. Department of Commerce.

Export sales for the month reached 2,342 metric tons (MT), down from 3,257 MT the previous month. This boosted exports so far during the marketing year to 8,578, down 26% last year.

Current trade data showed Spain was number one importer, taking 1,180 MT during the month. Mexico was the second most important destination buying 395 MT, followed by Israel at 146 MT.
