Easier Undertone in Birdseed
PANAMA - Aug 3/18 - SNS -- North American birdseed ingredient markets finished the week's trading with a weaker undertone as harvest activity got underway in some growing areas.
Canadian canaryseed and confection sunflower were mostly unchanged, while both grower and inter dealer markets for white proso millet and oil type sunflower markets were easier.
Worries about crop production prospects in several parts of the world appears to be the main driving force behind recent strength seen in outside markets. But, this has not spilled over in birdseed and other special crop markets.
