Unease in U.S. Birdseeds

PANAMA - Jul 14/18 - SNS -- Birdseed ingredient markets finished the week's trading unchanged to weaker over concerns about the impact the trade war between China and the United States will have on underlying demand for U.S. agricultural commodities.

Canadian canaryseed finished the week unchanged, with markets somewhat concerned about the impact above average temperatures will have the number of mature seeds formed per plant. The growing area is seeing rains, but they have often been localized events instead of general.

In the United States, confection sunflower was unchanged on the week, but values in oil type sunflower and millet seed markets eased in both grower and inter dealer markets.
