Canaryseed Area and Crop Size Boosted
PANAMA - Jan 19/18 - SNS -- North American birdseed ingredient markets were little changed under seasonal trading conditions during the past week.
Canaryseed markets were unaffected by exports on insured acres in western Canada. Those made it clear Statistics Canada underestimated both seeded area and production in 2017.
Some processors continue to believe seeded area was up over last year because some farmers switched from durum because of problems with fusarium wilt.
