New Mustard Demand Hard Won

PANAMA - May 14/17 - SNS -- Export shipments of Canadian mustard seed have been uninspiring since the start of the marketing year.

Through the end of March, Canada exported 79,147 metric tons (MT), up roughly 1,000 MT from the previous marketing year, but down the same amount from the previous five-year average.

This is the case even though last year's output production almost doubled to 233,900 MT and the available supply jumped 48% to 234,900 MT.
