Bulk Mustard Exports Down in 2015-16

PANAMA - Jul 31/16 - SNS -- Export movement of bulk mustard seed through the primary and terminal elevators system is finishing the marketing year just behind last season, according to the latest data from the Canadian Grain Commission (CGC).

The CGC reports 200 MT of bulk mustard seed export clearances through reporting terminals and primary elevators between July 18 to 24. That lifted season to date exports to 21,900 MT, compared to 23,100 MT exported during the previous marketing year. The CGC says season to date exports through terminal elevators include 6,000 MT of No 1 Canada mustard seed.

Farmers delivered 300 MT to primary elevators during the week. This lifts season to date deliveries by farmers to 32,700 MT, compared to 9,800 MT during the same period last season.
