Bulk Mustard Exports Steady in February
PANAMA - Mar 25/16 - SNS -- The Canadian Grain Commission (CGC) reports 1,700 metric tons (MT) mustard seed were loaded for export through licensed facilities which are required to report to it all grain movement in February.
The CGC data does not include exports in containers or from non-reporting terminals and cleaning plants.
The CGC reports 1,700 MT were shipped the same month last year, while 1,900 MT shipped the previous month.
This lifted bulk loadings for the marketing year to 11,300 MT, compared to 11,700 MT during the same period last season.
Of mmustard shipped in February, all were shipped direct from Prairie elevators to destinations in the United States. The CGC does not report on exports through cleaning plants or in containers.
