Limited Bulk Export Movement

PANAMA - Mar 5/16 - SNS -- The Canadian Grain Commission (CGC) reports 400 MT of bulk mustard seed export clearances through reporting terminals and primary elevators between February 22 and February 28. That lifted season to date exports to 11,300 MT, compared to 12,200 MT during the previous marketing year.

Farmers delivered 700 MT to primary elevators during the week. This lifts season to date deliveries by farmers to 19,100 MT, compared to 19,300 MT during the same period last season.

Elevators and terminals reported selling 200 MT of mustard seed to domestic buyers during the week. Season to date sales now total 4,200 MT, compared to 4,100 during the same period last season.

There are 4,500 MT of commercial stocks of mustard seed, including: 2,400 MT in primary elevators; 200 MT in West Coast ports; 1,400 MT in Thunder Bay; and 500 MT in St Lawrence ports. There are 700 MT if mustard in transit by rail to Canadian ports, compared to 700 MT the previous week.

For mustard seed in primary elevators: 1,300 MT are located in Manitoba; 1,100 MT in Saskatchewan; and none in Alberta.

The grade breakdown for the mustard seed instore Vancouver is 200 MT other grades. For mustard instore Thunder Bay, the breakdown is: 1,300 MT of No 1 Canada; and 200 MT of other grades. Product instore St. Lawrence ports includes 500 MT of other grades.
