French Pea Exports Jump in March
VANCOUVER - May 11/15 - SNS -- Field pea exports from France rose significantly in March, rising above both year earlier the and the previous month's clearance volumes, according to data compiled by the Union Nationale Interprofessionnelle des Plantes Riches en Proteines (UNIP).
Export shipments during the month totalled 17,115 metric tons (MT), up 55% from the 11,070 MT shipped the previous month, and up 8% from the 15,875 MT shipped the same month last year.
Most peas were shipped to European destinations, with Belgium the most important, followed by Italy and Germany.
