Green Peas Lose Premiums Over Yellow
VANCOUVER - May 1/15 - SNS -- Field pea markets finished the week's trading little changed against good, ongoing demand from exporters.
This was clearly reflected in grower bids in western Canada, with many processors offered the same prices for both green and yellow peas.
Green peas were over-produced relative to the needs of the market, erasing the premiums which persisted from May of 2012 through January of this year.
