French Pea Exports Steady in June
VANCOUVER - Aug 7/14 - SNS -- The pace of field pea exports from France steadied in June, rising above the previous month and nearly matching year earlier levels, according to data compiled by the Union Nationale Interprofessionnelle des Plantes Riches en Proteines (UNIP).
Export shipments during the month totalled 12,790 metric tons (MT), up 23% from the 10.570 MT shipped the previous month, but virtually unchanged from the 12,790 MT shipped the same month last year.
Most peas were shipped to European destinations, with Belgium the most important, followed by Norway and Switzerland.
