Romania's Oil-type Sunflower Exports Start With Soft Note

PANAMA - May 16/19 - SNS -- Exports of oil-type sunflowers for Romania shrank relative to the previous month in March, trade data from Eurostat reveals.

Total movement during the month reached 49,377 metric tons (MT), down 74% from the previous month's total of 187,595. So far shipments have amounted to 345,422 MT, down from 350,831 during the previous calendar year.

The biggest consumer for the month was Turkey, taking 49,192 MT. Bosnia and Herzegovina was the second most important importer taking 141 MT, followed by Moldova at 39 MT.
