Canadian Special Crop Index Review

VANCOUVER - Aug 1/18 - STAT -- Canada's speciallty crop crop dealer price index finished the 2017-18 marketing year falling 15% below the recent three year average.

For the season just ended, the Special Crop Index was 157 points, compared to an annual average of 185 during the previous three year period for dry edible bean classes included in the index calculation.

Analysis of the monthly price pattern reveals the highest monthly average was 192 points in August, while the lowest monthly average trading level was 131 points in July.
