Currency Dips Freeze Demand

VANCOUVER - Jun 22/13 - SNS -- Lentil markets finished the week's trading on an easier tone as buyers in several key destinations withdrew from markets on account of fast moving currency markets.

Over the past two months, India's currency has lost 10% of its value versus the U.S. dollar, Mexico's 9%, and Turkey's 8%.

This had already resulted in payment defaults on lentils and other products, with buyers refusing to pick up the documents.
